​​​​Nestled in the tropical rainforest of Costa Rica, we were commissioned to envision conceptual designs for an immersive, holistic retreat. The retreat features a 10,000sf spa and treatment areas, ceremonial and gathering spaces, and various accommodations, including free-standing casitas.  Drawing inspiration from woven bird nests, the natural forms blur the distinction between built elements and natural landscapes.

Bamboo and local hardwoods are proposed for their durability, aesthetic appeal, and low carbon footprint. Greywater management systems, solar power, and passive cooling minimize the ecological footprint.
